Hollywood star Anne Hathaway has played down the Oscar buzz surrounding her role in Rachel Getting Married.
Hathaway attended the UK premiere of the film at a rainy Leicester Square in London.
The star who wore a blue gown which trailed on the floor said cheerily: “I’ve been rained on and almost tripped on the red carpet.”
Hathaway, who shot to fame in The Devil Wears Prada, takes on the dark and troubled role of Kym for the family drama Rachel Getting Married.
The story sees Kym return from rehab to the Buchman family home for the wedding of her sister Rachel (Rosemarie DeWitt).
The film was highly acclaimed when it recently showed at the Venice Film Festival.
Asked about the Oscar buzz surrounding her film, Hathaway said that it was “really cool” but “it’s a little premature to get excited about.”
The single brunette was asked about finding Mr Right.
She said: “I’m still trying to figure out whether I believe in marriage… whether there is one person for everyone.”
Asked about sexy men, Hathaway said: “This guy I know in LA is kind of really doing it for me right now… I’m totally single right now, but I happened to meet a sexy guy the other day.”
